George Beane sent us an update saying that the Tingoans have handled the construction of the sedimentation and pump tanks very well. George's updates from Tingo have been an invaluable asset us on this project.

Josh Jedlicka has taken the new role as the 'ASCE-EWB Liason for the Pittsburgh area' (American Society of Civil Engineers - see attached pdf).
ASCE-Pittsburgh is eager to work with EWB; the interaction with EWB is energizing their membership. EWB-Pittsburgh Professional Chapters won the ASCE-Pittsburgh Award of Merit in 2010.
In addition, Melissa Day and Natalie Celmo gave an outstanding presentation at ASCE Past-President's Luncheon last month and captivated the room with the work the Ecuador team is doing.

The Ecuador (Tingo Pucara) project was conditionally approved by Technical Advisory Committee, on the very first attempt !! Construction will begin on May 18th and continue until the planned inauguration of the water system in September.
